Finishing her patrol of Istas, Laeldril walked in slow stealth between the buildings of the city returning to her haven. The Essess had been making rounds since raising at dusk, in an effort to remain fully aware of what conspired in the realms. FOA, headquarters were silent, and had been since the murder of the Royal Council. The Shadowlords minions spread out across the lands preferring to die rather than speak of their masters... at least that could be respected... Laeldril thought to herself. The factions Istas had contact with were quiet, the towns scarce of people as she wandered their streets earlier, except for the continued industry beneath the freehold observed in only by sound of hammering on stone, and the wheelbarrow of stone and ore, left outside the kitchen door of Grey Manor. Laeldril had seen no one.
Laeldril silently entered her haven, taking a moment to inhale deeply letting the scents of her household register. Softly the drow elf smiled thinking of her pack safely in the walls of Runescape, together they kept each other safe from harm. Within her domain she was the Alpha, her aura permeated with territorial-ness and protectiveness for those in her keeping, and the love and devotion she shared with them for watching over her. Lael's domain fell within that of the Seti, and Setess, Lord Azrael and Lady Zendra; beyond these two, there was no governorship, no ruler Lael acknowledged or put faith in.
Slipping into her office still cloaked in shadow, Lael sat in her over-sized chair to begin her last report of the night, awaiting her attention was a fresh purple rose, a goblet and small bottle of nightmare vitae, and a pamphlet that looked to have been torn from a nail.
Rubbing her temples slowly, Lael had to acknowledge the Royal Council hadn't been replaced since the massacre at the beginning of July, the accusations of conspiracy and still missing members of Lord British's Castle had not gone unforgotten by the Essess. The nights her and Xander spent tracking the clues leading to the arrest of Captain Avery and the release of Ambassador Casca, led to reports that lay still open in the Essess' files. Turning the pamphlet over in Efanor's hand was a note in the margin...
In her mind Lael felt no more than apathy towards another person of no experience and little backing, self proclaiming his importance to the realms. However she knew some may meet with his assuming the throne with hostilities, and conflict both political and personal was her business. Tossing the pamphlet into a tray on her desk, lael opened the bottle of vitae indulging in it as she turned her thoughts to counting her retainers before she would allow herself to rest. Chaser moved from under her desk and layed his muzzle on Lael's thigh so she could curl her fingers in his fur. Another king.. in a land and time when Kings have little respect even from their subjects... Val'is Razele am man who could not decide if he was a vampire or mortal, pirate or king... how could he lead the populous and to what end?

Quote:
In absence of a Lord, or Royal Council for that matter, the safety of our lands has greatly diminished.
To preserve the safety of Brittania's citizens and various cities, the title of King, will be passed to The
Lord Va'lis Razele. He shall be charged with maintaining peace throughtout the realm. His Seat of office
will not be in the late Lord British's castle, but will be placed in the humbler castle of Lord Blackthorn.
All matters, personal and otherwise can be taken up with him. May he unite the virtues and bring peace
of mind back unto these lands!
~Signed, Lord Judar, Keeper of Britannia

Any complaints or issues may be raised there.
