Past eight by tens in shattered frames
The players try to leave the room
Frantic puppets on a string
And all the while the music sings
And still some times remember
The masquerade's forever..."
-Excerpt: Berlin, 'Masquerade'
An only child till the age of four, Sian was removed from her family for disrupting its peace over the addition of a sibling. Sian's grandfather registered her in Lord British's Conservatory in Britain where she lived until achieving her Masters Rank in vocal and instrumental performance as well as composition at the age of twenty-four. The patron-ship of Nessa Blackrose introduced her to the city of Istas, where the generosity of the cities governors allowed for the creation of the Istas Conservatory of Music & Art, where Sian is currently Dean.
As a member of the cultural centers of Istas, Sian Taliesan hosts several events each season to showcase the Library, Museum, Conservatory and Arboretum in Istas. Concerts, Masquerade Balls, and Book Fairs top the list of events open to the public.
A life long love for ancient art and history have lead to Sian's study of skills that allow her to locate, inspect and identify rare artifacts and relics, many of which she's added to her own collection in the Conservatory. An avid cartographer maps are a specialty of Miss Taliesan's, having obtained several hundred remnants of maps in her collection.
